Design specification for barrier free handrails of urban roads and buildings

In order to standardize the construction of barrier free handrail facilities, the Ministry of Construction issued the "urban road and building barrier free handrail design specification", of which 24 are mandatory standards for engineering construction, which have been implemented since August 21, 2001.

Provision of barrier free handrail facilities and design requirements for 1. people on road

Curb ramp sidewalk should be provided at intersection, neighborhood intersection, unit exit, Plaza entrance, crosswalk, bridge, tunnel and intersection. Curb ramp mouth high roadway ground shall not be greater than 2cm.

Crosswalk - crosswalk safety island should enable wheelchairs to pass; pedestrian crosswalk on the main roads of the city should be equipped with street sound signals.

Sign -- in the location of barrier free handrail facilities such as city square, pedestrian street, business street, pedestrian bridge and pedestrian line, we should set up the international general barrier free handrail sign.

2. the design of the slope of a single side slope should be in accordance with the following regulations

The width of the lower edge of the slop on the fan-shaped single side slope should not be less than 1.5M. 6. the scope of the handrail design for office and scientific research buildings should be in accordance with the following provisions

Barrier free handrails are now appearing more and more. But the location of handrail installation is also based on some points. For office buildings and research buildings, there are mainly several points:

1. building base (pedestrian access, parking space)

3. level (channel) and proper traffic (staircase)

4. reception room (general reception room, VIP reception room)

5. public housing [conference room, report hall, adjudication hall, etc.)

6. public days (government and judicial departments at the county level and above the county level must have a barrier free place)
